50 years of speech and language therapy at BCU

On 23 May 2017, Birmingham City University (BCU) held a dinner party for students, staff and clinicians to celebrate 50 years of speech and language therapy at BCU. Special guests on the night included Joy Stackhouse and Bill Wells. Joy spoke about her journey from student to where she is now in her exciting career.

In the run up to their event, BCU Speech and Language Therapy Society got fellow students, staff, friends and family to write ‘What communication means to them’. Their thoughts were shared on social media and they created the Storify below.

It was a fantastic end for the final year SLT students who’ve had a very demanding academic term.
