The University College London Union (UCLU) Giving Voice Committee is running several events in October. These include a fabulous taster session evening and an AAC Treasure Hunt.
This ‘Taster Evening’ is a light-hearted and informative introduction to Giving Voice for anyone who has an interest in speech and language therapy. It promises to be an interactive evening full of short videos, sample diets to try out, a pub quiz and much more…
It takes place on Wednesday 5 October 2016 5.30 – 7pm at Chandler House, 2 Wakefield Street, London, WC1N 1PF.
Bloomsbury AAC Treasure Hunt
To celebrate International AAC Awareness Month the UCLU Giving Voice Society is putting on a treasure hunt with a difference. People will be given the opportunity to experience what it might be like to have a communication difficulty. They’ll be invited to use different forms of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to solve clues and complete challenges around the Bloomsbury area.
It takes place on Wednesday 19 October 2016. Anyone interested in attending this event should meet at the UCL Quad, Gower Street at 5.30pm
